Having multiple tooth extractions may be nerve-wracking, but our staff at Sedaros Oral Facial Surgery & Dental Implants is here to put your mind at ease and let you know what to expect. After you have had a few teeth extracted, a small amount of bleeding isn’t uncommon and you should place gauze directly over the bleeding socket for 30 minutes. By avoiding hot liquids and exercise in conjunction with elevating your head, you will experience less bleeding.

Use ice packs (externally) on the same side of the face as the operated area. Apply ice for the first 36 hours only. Apply ice continuously while you are awake. Do not rinse your mouth for the first post-operative day, or while there is bleeding. After the first day, use a warm salt-water rinse every 4 hours and following meals to flush out particles of food and debris that may lodge in the operated area.

The removal of many teeth at one time is quite different than the extraction of one or two teeth. If you have any questions regarding multiple extractions before you have dental implants in Melbourne, Florida.
